World War II Stories

The following are some of the World War II stories of veterans published in the Hendersonville Times-News from 2000 to about 2006. Links to the web site, www.blueridgenow.com, are at the beginning of each story. A few of the stories written on the men listed below are not archived on the newspaper’s web site.

The reader should please note the dates that the articles were published. Many, if not most, of these World War II veterans are now deceased.

The following articles represent men who were living in Henderson County or Western North Carolina at the time they entered the military during World War II.
