Stepp Family Cemetery – Round Hill

Between Red Hill and Golden Hill on Stepp Mill Road is the Stepp Cemetery at Round Hill in Dana. The cemetery is on a grassy knoll alongside the road, with a drive circling it.
More than 15 Stepp descendants are buried here, including members of the Hyder family. There were recent burials in the cemetery.
Union soldier, Reuben Miller Stepp, has a grave site in this cemetery. He enlisted in the 2nd N.C. Mounted Infantry, Co. B, on 9-25-1863. A Confederate military record could not be found. He died in 1907.
The graveyard is held in trust. Trustees maintain the cemetery. It consists of 1.2 acres and is well maintained.
