This list in the order of the largest slave owners to the person with the smallest number of slaves.
Slave lists covered here are 1800, 1810, 1820, 1850 and 1860.
The slave owners from 1800 to 1820 were among the first settlers into Henderson County. Slave owners in 1850 and 1860 also include people from the low country of South Carolina who had summer estates in Flat Rock.
